viking bird funeral

On a camping trip late last summer, I woke up one morning, stepped out on the porch and found a dead sparrow. No apparent injury. So, I picked it up with some large plant leaves and placed him in the river behind the cabin.

dream#1

I always have abandonment dreams of one sort or another. I had a dream last week that stuck with me. I was walking with a group of people, all in shadow. I could see their eyes, but not really their faces. We all spoke to each other and ran in sort of a pack. I was drawn to one man in particular. Blue eyes and blonde hair I sensed. When we met, we could not stop kissing. It wasn't sexual, just closeness. We would separate, then meet again and be drawn to each other. Kissing. Clinging. Towards the end, we were in bed, but there was no sexual sensation, just intimate, closeness. Kissing and kissing, knowing we were taken and that it was wrong for us to do this. I said 'do you want me to stop coming around?' He said 'no, no..' and kept kissing me, as if he was gently eating my lips off. Just sweetness. Then I woke up. I actually cried that morning because the dream was over with.

internet friends

I don't have a lot of personal friends here in Jersey City.
I have work freinds, but no one that I go out with
socially, except my husband. He's my best friend, but
he's older, he's a man of course, etc, etc. So, recently
I've developed some internet friendships. It's interesting
and different than any relationship experience I've had.
I've had the pleasure of meeting one person face to face, and
that was cool. I guess I'm missing the real, personal
type of relationship/friendships that people have. My
internet friends are fun and cool; but I often wonder what
they look like, what are their habits, are they as nice in person
as they are online. It's an odd and new phenomenon for me.
So far, I like it.

Oh yeah, one more thing; it's hard to tell if these people
really are my friends since there is no face to face contact.
I know the one person I've met is a real friend, but for all I know,
the others might just think I'm a dumbass. But whatever.

walk

I walked to my Wednesday night meeting
tonight. From Grand Central at 42nd Street
to Gramercy Park at 21st, where Lexington Ave
ends. It took maybe 30 minutes. I stopped
at Original Famous Ray's Pizza on 26th and Lex.
Before I got there I walked through little Korea
and little Pakistan. I've never seen so many Indian
restaurants in one place; but I guess that would
be the place to go if you wanted some good
mulagatani. I should have had that instead of
a calzone, but I didn't have time. I enjoyed that walk.
Everyone rushes around in this city, on buses and cars,
trains. Choosing the walk was a great idea,
because I hadn't been through that part
of the city, on foot. I had never seen a sign
for a Pakwan restaurant before. How sheltered
have I been from the world...
